Commissioned by Roy Holder, recently retired band director of the Lake Braddock High School Bands (Fairfax County, Virginia), this twenty-five minute, three movement symphony is a showcase for the symphonic band. It features a variety of sonorities and an exceptional array of rhythmic motion between various sections of the band. A varied and interesting work that joins the previous Barnes' symphonies in the band repertoire.
